On day two, venture into Panama’s wildlife-rich landscapes with a boat tour of Gatun Lake, where you’ll encounter monkeys, sloths, and toucans. Children become Junior Naturalists as they embark on a discovery expedition. The day wraps up with a visit to the iconic Panama Canal’s Miraflores Locks.

Upon arriving at Tocumen International Airport, your guide will greet you and transfer your family to La Concordia Boutique Hotel, located in the heart of Casco Antiguo. After checking in, the adventure begins. Depending on your arrival time, your family could choose to accept the challenge of an exciting treasure hunt through the historic streets of Casco Antiguo—completely on your own, without a guide.
Armed with a Welcome Treasure Map, your family will embark on this self-guided scavenger hunt, discovering key landmarks and solving clues that reveal the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the end of your journey, a prize awaits your family, to be delivered by your guide the next morning, celebrating your successful completion of the challenge.
To add an extra layer of fun, your family will also receive an Interactive Family Journal at check-in. The kids can record their experiences, draw their discoveries, and learn about Panama’s culture, wildlife, and history through playful prompts.
Dinner will be on your own, with personalized recommendations from your guide, giving you the freedom to explore the local dining scene at your leisure.

After enjoying breakfast at La Concordia, your guide will meet you for a day of unforgettable exploration. The adventure begins with a journey to Gatun Lake, where you’ll embark on a boat tour across this wildlife-rich lake, a key part of the Panama Canal ecosystem. As you glide through the tranquil waters, you’ll encounter Panama’s diverse wildlife—monkeys swinging in the trees, sloths lounging in the canopy, and toucans soaring above.
Throughout the tour, your family can participate in a Wildlife Photography Challenge, capturing photos of the animals you encounter. Your guide will offer photography tips along the way, and at the end of the day, your family can review your wildlife photo collection together.
For the young explorers, the day will also include a special Junior Naturalist Experience. The children will receive a simple checklist of animals and birds to spot during the boat tour, turning the trip into a mini expedition. By the end of the tour, they’ll earn badges or certificates, celebrating their discoveries.
